Video: SC reserves verdict on Ashish Mishra's bail in Lakhimpur case

The Supreme Court reserved the judgment on the bail plea of main accused Ashish Mishra in the Lakhimpur violence case. UP government said bail should not be granted as the crime is heinous. The Court said no one should be kept in jail for an indefinite period of time.

The Centre said work is in progress on the demand to declare Ram Setu as national heritage. The Court asked petitioner Subramaniam Swamy to give additional evidence to the ministry.

A Delhi court said that there is no statutory exemption for journalists from disclosing their source to investigating agencies. If information is necessary for the investigation, it has to be given.

The Delhi High Court dismissed AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan’s plea against declaring him a bad character. The High Court said Khan can appeal against it.
