Centre notifies appointments to Madras High Court: 2 judges transferred, 1 judicial officer appointed additional judge

The Central government on Thursday notified the transfer of two Judges and appointment of one judicial officer to the Madras High Court.

Law Minister Kiren Rijiju tweeted the notification on the transfer of Justice Battu Devanand of Andhra Pradesh High Court and Justice Devaraju Nagarjun of Telangana High Court. Besides, judicial officer P. Vadamali was elevated as an Additional Judge of the High Court.

The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended the transfer of these two judges in November 2022.
